Nominations are now being accepted for the 2008 Green City Awards.
Nomination Guidelines
Each local government nominee requires a completed Nomination Form, signed Certification Form and supporting documentation. It is extremely important that nominees refer to the Green City Awards Program Guide and the Green City Partnership Award Program Guide for detailed information about eligibility, selection criteria, and for examples of supporting documentation.
Nominees are responsible for ensuring that full and accurate information is submitted to the Ministry. Nominations with incomplete information will not be considered until all necessary information has been submitted.
Each municipality may nominate themselves once per year. Regional districts may nominate themselves for each RD category (Electoral Area and Regional). All local governments (successful or otherwise) may apply every year. There are separate Program Guides and Nomination Forms for the Green City Awards and the Green City Partnership Award.
Nomination Deadline
All Nomination Forms and supporting documentation must be received at the Ministry of Community Services by April 18, 2008 in order to be considered for the second annual awards.
